  -  Tip of the Day   -  How To Get Comfortable Infront of the Camera

“I hate having my pictures taken!” or “I am not photogenic!” or “I hate picture!” – These are phrase we are conversant with but we do not give-up nor panic when we hear them because we understand that they are only camera shy.

Since our inception, we have helped lots of clients evolve from camera-shy to camera confident.

Subsequent to our researches, we understand that Anxiety, Lack of confidence, Insecurity, Nervousness or the plain old excuse, “I don’t like taking pictures” are the closest words to explain why people are camera-shy and consequently, miss out on capturing memories.

Temi, one of our major clients today used to think the camera takes away all the attraction, exposing all the blemish on her skin and showcases her flawed body. We always start by subtly letting the Temis in on the truth by schooling them on the astonishing reality which is; they don’t look like what they think they look like, it’s only a figment of their imagination

We always start by subtly letting the Temis in on the truth by schooling them on the astonishing reality which is; they don’t look what like what they think they look like, it’s only a figment of their imagination.

Our well-trained customer service team put in the work in convincing our camera-shy client(s) that nobody is perfect, there is no such thing as perfect beauty and their role models/celebrities have had their pictures doctored by professionals. These doctoring professionals also work in our studio. We know the problem has been solved when the client schedules a session – our very effective antidote has never failed us.

Our photographers are friendly, they see every client irrespective of age, class, gender or size as a friend. It’s a freedom from bias zone. They do not criticize rather they complement every and any move the client makes while trying to strike a pose. They even encourage the client(s) to be themselves by acting natural even if it involves being silly. And even when you run out of poses, we get to help you out with it.

Because it’s the client’s session, the client has all the time and attention while our ever-patient photographers practice with the client, teaching them how to interact with the photographer and not the camera. “Act like the camera does not exist,” Ibrahim would always say.

We’ve always found music to be a great mood Lightner. You can put together a list of your favorite songs to groove to as we shoot.

It works all the time as gradually the client starts feeling more and more comfortable in their own skin as their mood switches from anxiety/nervousness to comfortable and jolly all right in front of the camera.

At Insigna we are all about the experience. As they say, ” every day is a new experience”, how about you make Insigna Studio your next new experience? You can now book us for your next camera confident shoot by sending a mail with the topic ‘booking’ to [email protected]
