On the 22nd of June 2016, DJ Obi one of Nigeria’s most foremost DJs set out to break a world record for the longest DJ set. The record had previously been set by DJ Noberto Loco of Poland who’s set was for a straight 200 hours.
DJ Obi’s set lasted for a straight 10 days making his set an amazing 229 hours and 58 minutes. He got lots of love and support from friends and fans as they all came through to support him. He played the last song which was “one dance” by Drake ft Wizkid and Kyla because, and I quote “after such a long journey and all the hard work, all I really need is one dance . Last song for the night, then I get to go home”.

DJ Obi has not only changed the face of Nigerian DJing but also of Nigerian entertainment as a whole.
