After a years long break AMVCA is back!!! No thanks to COVID-19, the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards was on hold for a year. However, now that all is safe and calm we are very excited about it and we can’t wait to see who will be wearing what and taking home what award. We want to wish all the nominees the very best of luck and also say a big congratulations on their nomination.

Over the years, the red carpet has gotten a lot more better. From looks right down to the images. This year we can only expect everything to be much more better than the last one. Being on the red carpet comes with its pickles, the flashing light, the butterflies in ones tummy, the excitements, the drama, it can be a lot to take in for a person. Insigna is here with a few basic tips on slaying the red carpet at the 2022 AMVCA’s.

It’s Your Carpet So Own It!

The first tip on every red carpet is to stand out! Stand at least one feet away from the backdrop. The carpet is all yours to play with, so use it the your advantage.

Look Straight Into The Camera

It’s easy to be overwhelmed by people calling out your name on the red carpet, flashing camera lights and the crowd. What is most important to you on that carpet is getting a stunning image.

Tip 1: Spot two or three photographers you know you would like for them to take your picture. Give them a nod and look straight into their camera, and don’t forget to smile.
Tip 2: Pan. Pan your head gradually from right to left so all photographers get your angles.

Chin Down, Face Forward

To get the best headshots on the red carpet, push your face forward, chin down, and don’t forget SMILE!

Lastly, PRACTICE!

Whatever pose you want to do on the red carpet, make sure to practice! Practice! practice!
