Focus.
Adjust until your subject is clear in sight and then you press the shutter. Placing the subject of an image in focus is key to achieving the purpose of that image.
Every image has a focus subject. This could either be a person or a group of people or an item on display either way, your subject is the reason you are taking the picture. if it’s a studio shoot, then all you need to do is manage the negative space around but either way, it’s not hard to put your subject in focus because of the limited distractions. but when shooting in outdoor in events or crowded places, it becomes a little difficult because of all the random components that also appear in the frame with the image subject.
In such situation, it is expected that you blur away all distracting objects so that the subject of the image is the focal point of attention. This is made possible by opening your aperture to its wildest possible width.
If the elements in the back ground have been structured to compliment the subject of the image, as you close the rings of your aperture, everything comes into focus.
Have a great ‘focused’ weekend.
