Over the years, Arise Fashion Week has provided a platform to hundreds of designers and models from across the globe. The 20th edition of the ARISE Fashion Week took place on from the 2nd-4th of February with a stellar lineup of almost 30 designers who graced its prestigious runway. Among the announced designers includes Nigerian top fashion names who are undoubtedly no stranger to the ARISE Fashion Week runway; Ituen Basi, NKWO, Lanre Da Silva Ajayi, Lisa Folawiyo and Tiffany Amber have all showcased at ARISE Fashion Week multiple times since its inception in 2007, as well as other Nigerian and African designers Makodu Fall, Vicnate, Awa Meite, Ziva Lagos, Ninine, to mention a few.

DAY 1

VICNATE

Vicnate transcends personal and social engagements and embraces a vision that is simple, deliberate, and packed with youthful bursts.

Features: Monochrome pieces with Architectural type suiting, plunging necklines, and sexy silhouettes.

Pepper Row

Pepper Row merges Africa’s rich heritage with modern influences, constantly celebrating the arts and craftsmanship of Africa with a contemporary touch in all of its collections

Ninie

NiNiE is a contemporary Nigerian menswear brand that infuses both African and western cultural influences into its designs. The label combines the aesthetics of both traditional attire and streetwear, while focusing on modern designs that continue the legacy of Nigerian fashion and craftsmanship

ZIVA LAGOS

@zivalagos Founded in 2016 by Tania Omotayo, this ready-to-wear brand produces print-focused, trend-led fashion pieces perfect for the stylish everyday woman.
Features: Tropical colors, bright patterns, flowy silhouettes.

Awa Meite

Malian designer, Awa Meité, creates ready-to-wear pieces in an array of striking silhouettes and hand-woven fabrics that pay homage to her country’s rich history of craftsmanship and design, while spotlighting local artisans and promoting sustainable design practices.

Mokodu Fall

M O K O D U F A L L @fallmokodu Originally from Senegal, Mokodu fall is a painter and caricaturist. Now spending his time between Rome and France, his art reflects on his African roots.

Hudayya is a bespoke ready-to-wear fashion brand that provides high-end class tailoring and luxury dressing..

TIFFANY AMBER

The Tiffany Amber brand aesthetic is dedicated to a vision of style that is as sophisticated as it is indulgent, iconic as it is modern and has become a luxury lifestyle brand with global reach.

LANRE DA SILVIA

Lanre Da Silva Ajayi is an African eponymous label and pioneering feminine luxury brand, launched in 2005. Da Silva’s pieces over the years have been described as groundbreaking in their use of traditional African prints and striking colours and patterns.

PERFORMANCE

This year’s theme was a fusion of fashion and music. Attendees and fashion enthusiasts were taken on an exciting journey filled with enlightening experiences, with more than 25 world class designers and jazz-themed performances from acclaimed international artists including Nigeria’s very own WizKid.
