  -  Art   -  Diary of an Intern Photographer; Organized Chaos.

Heavy Traffic, Busy people minding their own business, Hawkers pushing their wares in your face, Conductors tugging you back and forth with hopes that you’ll grace their cars with your presence and their hands with your cash, Food vendors selling the best homemade delicacies at the lowest price available. This is the chaos that is Lagos… a Beautiful Disaster.

You can build bigger roads, nicer infrastructure but Lagos will remain the chaos that it currently is; a city for wild and free, for those who want to explore, the hustle oriented folks, with a drive to succeed. Like America, Lagos is a hive; with singularities that perform different tasks to ensure the city forges ahead.

The corporate worker living in Ipaja without personal transport means, needs the bus driver to transport him to Ikeja. Until he gets a car, he needs that driver to achieve pay day.

The life of a Lagosian is a fast one, a life of constant movement with very little stops because the only stops we are allowed to have are those stops on  Maryland express road at 7 o’clock on both corners of the day.

Lagos is our city, our home and we love her. Share with us your Lagos experience and why you love ‘Eko’ in the comments section. We look forward to hearing from you.
